Invitek
The development of non-chaotropic chemistry for nucleic acid sample preparation by Invitek is a major milestone in the history of DNA/RNA purification methods. With non-chaotropic chemistry the most gentle buffers can be used both for nucleic acid purification and for highly efficient enzymatic lysis of complex samples. Furthermore, very low salt concentrations can be used enabling the development of very fast DNA/RNA purification protocols.

Lonza Mycoplasma Removal
Mycoplasma infections can spread easily within the culture environment. To monitor for such infections, regular testing of cell lines should be performed using Lonza’s MycoAlert Mycoplasma Detection Kit. Where contamination has occurred, and the sample absolutely cannot be discarded, the MycoZap Mycoplasma Elimination Reagent has been optimized to eliminate mycoplasma with minimal toxic effects on the cells.

Finnzymes Dynamo qPCR Kits
Finnzymes’ DyNAmo qPCR Kits are a superior choice for quantitative real-time analysis. These kits offer excellent performance in detection and quantitation of DNA and RNA sequences from various sources. The DyNAmo Flash SYBR Green qPCR Kit and DyNAmo Flash Probe qPCR Kit offer enhanced performance for real-time qPCR. These kits provide sensitive and reproducible detection of target DNA with shorter run times in both fast and conventional instruments. The DyNAmo cDNA Synthesis Kit is an optimal choice when the starting material is RNA. The kit is optimized for quantitative reverse transcription required for qPCR analysis and can be used in conjunction with all qPCR kits.

Finnzymes Phusion
In Phusion High-Fidelity DNA Polymerases, a unique dsDNA-binding domain is fused to a Pyrococcus-like proofreading polymerase. This domain increases the affinity of Phusion DNA Polymerases for double-stranded DNA, allowing incorporation of more nucleotides per binding event and decreasing the number of binding events required for elongation. Due to the novel fusion technique, Phusion DNA Polymerases generate PCR products with accuracy and speed previously unattainable with a single enzyme, even on your most difficult templates. In addition, Phusion DNA Polymerases are capable of amplifying long amplicons (e.g. the 7.5 kb human genomic and 20 kb λ DNA used in Finnzymes’ quality control assays).

Finnzymes Direct PCR
Finnzymes’ novel approach, Direct PCR, saves you time and cost by allowing amplification of DNA directly from the source material. Direct PCR is based on Finnzymes' Phusion High-Fidelity DNA Polymerases and Phire Hot Start II DNA Polymerase. These unique fusion enzymes have been engineered to incorporate a double-stranded DNA binding domain that gives them extraordinary properties. Phusion and Phire DNA Polymerases are exceptionally tolerant of many PCR inhibitors present in various sample material. This allows robust amplification in conditions where conventional DNA polymerases, like Taq or Pfu, are completely inhibited.

Finnzymes Piko
Finnzymes’ Piko Thermal Cyclers represent a fundamental improvement in PCR technology. Piko Thermal Cyclers incorporate novel technical solutions that allow significant reductions in PCR run times and the overall size of the instrument. Although merely half the size of other thermal cyclers, Piko Thermal Cyclers meet the highest criteria in performance expected from a thermal cycler and yet are able to complete a PCR protocol in as little as 10 minutes. The Piko Thermal Cycler is an ideal solution for both conventional PCR and High Performance PCR applications. Due to its small size and low power consumption, it is also conveniently portable for field use.

Nucleofector
The Nucleofector® Technology is a highly efficient non-viral method for transfection. It is based on two components: the Nucleofector® Device that delivers unique electrical parameters, and Nucleofector® Kits that contain cell-type-specific Nucleofector® Solutions. The electrical parameters of the Nucleofector® are different from any other commercially available electroporation device. Each electrical setting is displayed as a distinct program which has been adapted to the requirements of a particular cell type. As the electrical settings are pre-programmed into the Nucleofector®, optimization of the electrical parameters by the user is not necessary.
