Automated High Throughput Systems

The adaptation of well established Invitek HTS kits using the Invisorb, InviTrap and MSB technology to common liquid handling workstations, e.g. the Eppendorf epMotion 5075 platforms, the X-tractor Gene™ (now: QIAGEN QIAxtractor) or the Tecan station Freedom Evo 200 etc., allows a simple and convenient walk-away or semi-automated isolation of DNA fragments and PCR products, genomic DNA, mitochondrial DNA, bacterial DNA, viral DNA and RNA as well as total RNA from different starting materials. Procedures previously carried out manually can now be easily and quickly performed.

Automation resources - implementation on robotic workstations

Invitek offers a variety of kits for full automation based on different technologies (membrane, magnetic beads). Long years of experience in kit development and optimization in combination with a thorough understanding of requirements, chances and limitations in automation have resulted in highly optimized solutions for automated needs. A team of experienced Invitek application specialists will perform the integration of the HTS 96 kit on the customer’s robotic workstation, either.

  1. in collaboration with the customers themselves or
  2. with specialists from the producer of the laboratory workstations.

Furthermore, the team will develop solutions for nucleic acid purification on customer specific demands (on request).

PLEASE NOTE:

The RNA kits with the trademark Invisorb have been renamed as InviTrap to communicate the selective DNA removal for enhanced RT-PCR assays
